the cloud illustrations were a project begun in late 2013 which ran into 2014. it was escapism which found the subject (the drawings show very few people, if any at all, and that is mostly what i'm looking to escape). many show a romantic twist and all show idealised form, two more factors related to escapism. and for me it works. i look at these pictures and i am elsewhere, in a physical and emotional place that i quite like, that is different from here even tho it is grounded here.

in the end there were 50 drawings which became 'the little book of clouds'. i chose not to colour the drawings tho most are digitally shaded, preferring instead to take up the challenge of drawing something in monochrome. i only recently recognised my pervasive interest in geometry and you'll find plenty of that here. some drawings succeed more than others. all were done with a biro.
